Tony Yayo reflects on Eminem hate in the industry, 50 Cent’s beef with The Game and more.
Tony Yayo was the latest guest on Math Hoffa’s podcast along with the likes of Uncle Murda, Sean Bigga and more. The former G-Unit member talks about the hate Eminem gets in the industry for being white, The Game’s beef with Eminem and more.
“You know ni**as are supposed to be respectful of those who turned the light on them, wrong or right,” he says. “Who did Em put on? G-Unit, D12, Slaughterhouse, Joe Budden is in them, and Griselda. Come on, ni**as be acting like none of that matter. Ni**as be mad at the white boy because he’s the black hockey player. ‘Yo, his music don’t play in the club’ [he says referencing The Game’s statement]. So, that don’t make him the GOAT? Come on, he’s having them bars.”
He continued, “I’ve been f**king with Eminem since “Renegade”. And that ni**a put me on. He’s got the respect in the hood since “Renegade”. But at the end of the day, why did ni**as hate Eminem? Because he’s white. When we got down with Eminem, we got called house ni**as, this and that. But at the end of the day, ain’t nobody in my hood, my family wore a “Free Yayo” shirt at the Grammys and looked out for me ni**a.”
The Game Explains Why He Dissed Eminem: “Just Because Nobody Does”
During the same discussion, Yayo discussed the shooting outside of Hot 97 in 2005 involving Game’s group, which further fueled Game and G-feud. Unit’s Yayo now describes the experience as “kind of stupid.”
“All it was, was a lot of money missed,” he said. “In the midst of that beef, we could’ve went on tour with Game… We could’ve made our own bag. It’s just the egos. Yayo was the one humble n***a. I never had an ego because I’m straight from the block. So for me seeing the world and making a bag… I was happy with what I had but there’s always egos involved.”
