The Game addresses his comments about Eminem on Drink Champs.
The Game was the latest guest on DJ EFN & N.O.R.E’s “Drink Champs” podcast, and as expected, the Compton rapper made several headlines for his statements on the show. In one of the parts, the rapper also talked about Eminem and said that he’s better than the Detroit Rapper.
“Eminem is Eminem, I like Eminem,” he said. “He’s one of the f**kin good Emcees, great Emcees. I used to think Eminem was better than me. He not, he’s not. Challenge it. Yes, I do [Want to do Verzuz against Eminem]. What you mean, yeah I do. The f**k you mean.” “I’m not saying I want smoke with Eminem, I’m saying I want smoke with Eminem, him, and him, whoever,” he added.

Now after trending all over social media for his statement, The Game now addressed the whole thing in a live stream and is still sticking to his view on Eminem. “When y’all say Eminem is better and all that, I see it, I see it. I feel you,” he says. “And you know what? If you feel like Eminem is better than me, that’s your opinion. But it’s a lot of people that feel like I’m better than Eminem, and that’s their opinion. Me personally… Is Eminem better than me? Nah, he not, bro.”
“And I think the best way to see if he is or if I am is let’s rap about it. Let’s get up. Let’s get in the studio. Let’s rap about it. Let’s do something. Let’s put something out. Let’s see ’cause that’s what this sh*t is, bro. It’s rap. And for me, I was really ain’t gave like, the justice to who I am lyrically. I am just doing this because I’m skilled enough to do it. But as far as some real lyricism, some real hip-hop, getting in the studio and take the gloves off and really get it in. You’all gonna get f**ked up.”
He continues, “Even if a rapper was better than me, why the f**k would I ever say that another man is better than me at anything in life? I’m striving to be the best human that I can possibly be… the best rapper, the best father, the best friend… you know what I’m saying… the most obedient to the Lord… And still living my life. Ni**as ain’t better than me at sh*t. You ain’t getting that off.
“I also gave him his props in the same accord. But as far as being better than me, nah. Eminem is not better than me. Bro, I’m better than him. I said it again and I’ll keep saying it again, bro. It is what it is. Bro, you can take it, run and go tell him, do whatever you want because when it’s time to get down and it’s time to grab that mic and stand in front of that microphone and that booth, I’m gone air muthaf**kas out every time, bro.”
Although the ‘Eazy’ rapper respects everything Dr. Dre achieved for him when he signed and released his big label debut The Documentary in 2005, he feels he would have blown up regardless of whether he was signed to Dre or not. That is yet another audacious claim. Game went on to say that he has every right to believe that he is better than other rappers, like Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole, and that his upcoming new album would amaze a lot of people.
