Snoop Dogg doesn’t think that Eminem is the top 10 rappers of all time.
Snoop Dogg appeared in a new interview session with the Breakfast club team where he talks about Hip-Hop Transcending territories, therapy, Kanye West, and more. On the show, Snoop Dogg also praised Dr Dre and talked about how he created so many careers in Hip-Hop including Eminem, and also said that Detroit Rapper isn’t in his Top 10 List.
“Eminem, the great white hope. White rappers had zero respect in rap, let’s keep that in mind,” said Snoop Dogg. “He has probably put Eminem in the position where he could be labeled as one of the top 10 rappers ever, I don’t think so but the gang feels like he’s top 10 lyricists and all that. That’s just because he’s with Dr. Dre and Dr. Dre helped him find the best Eminem that he could find.”
When asked why Eminem isn’t in his top ten, Snoop went on to name a number of rappers he thinks are better than the Detroit rapper. “There’s some n****s in the 80s that [Eminem] can’t f**k with,” Snoop continued. “Like Rakim, like Big Daddy Kane, like KRS-One, like LL Cool J … Like Ice Cube.”
Snoop said “it is what it is”, but maintained that Eminem “did that to the fullest” and is still “one of my teammates, one of my brothers”. “But when you’re talking about this hip-hop shit that I can’t live without, I can live without that.”
