Rick Ross reveals he’s never been cheated or taken advantage of in the music industry.
We often hear news about artists having arguments with the labels, management or other people in the music business, but that’s not the case with Rick Ross, as he settles his situation over the phone. The MMG boss recently made an appearance on “Beyond The Chair Podcast”, where he explains why he’s never had to sue anyone he’s worked with.
“You gotta realize when you a young artist, I’m sure after you become successful, whatever you look back on you’ll consider it a bad contract,” he said. “Have I ever been taken advantage of? No. Have I ever been robbed? No. Have I ever had to sue someone I was in business with musically? No.”
“It was just the way I moved, I guess,” Ross continued. “Whoever I was in the contract with, we always had [an] open phone conversation. So, if it was anything that was a problem, I presented it and they just explained it to me. If it’s respectable, I’ma respect it because I always felt like, any contract I sign, whatever couple years it was, I could work myself out of this in no time really.”
While Rozay has never had to go to court, he has had his fair share of disagreements and is now embroiled in one with Gillie Da Kid. On the a recent edition of his Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast, Gillie felt compelled to answer to Rick Ross, who had described to him as a “fake” months earlier after Mack Maine refuted a tale Gillie gave about a meeting with his old nemesis Lil Wayne. Gillie then made fun of Rick Ross’s recent farming initiatives, which Ross did not appreciate.
