MOD SUN talks Eminem and MGK Beef.
MOD SUN recently appeared on Zach Sang’s podcast where he discussed his new song ‘Karma‘, sobriety, ‘Tickets to my Downfall‘ movie, and much more. He also talks about working on his new album and how he worked on it from 8 AM to 6 PM every day. “I made this whole album, bro this is crazy,” says MOD SUN. “I made this whole album from like 8 AM to 6 PM every day. I move with the sun now. I think that’s why I look so much different.” Then the host mentioned that Eminem has the same type of working schedule.
“Doesn’t Eminem work that way,” says the Host. “Akon said he would want to work with Eminem and Eminem’s like I come in at 9, I leave at 5 or 6 and then I come back the next day. I work from nine to five. It’s awesome.”
“Yeah, we don’t really put Eminem over here. We MGK all the way,” says MOD SUN.
The host asks “How cool is that to even be on a side of a beef of that stature,”
MOD SUN continues, “Eminem is just, he’s obsessed, he’s obsessed with MGK.”
Mod Sun revealed in early 2020 that he has begun production on his fourth studio album. On October 30, 2020, the album’s first single, “Karma,” was released. Machine Gun Kelly directed the accompanying music video, which was released three weeks later on November 16, 2020.
January in the year 2021 Mod Sun has officially confirmed the album’s title, Internet Killed the Rockstar, as well as its February 12, 2021 release date. He released the track “Heavy” with Blackbear on March 12, 2021.
MGK also went into length on a number of other topics, including his displeasure with how certain detractors have reacted to TTMD’s success (which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200). He was also asked to name the albums he has listened to the most this year. MGK’s 2020 rotation has primarily consisted of Lil Peep’s Everybody’s Everything and blink-182’s Take Off Your Pants and Jacket, as well as his own tracks.
