Ludacris is to drop new music this year.
Ludacris has been in the game since the late 90s, but the rapper hasn’t released an album in eight, as he last dropped “Ludaversal” back in 2015. The rapper who’s a permanent member of the Fast & Furious film franchise, now states that there’s a possibility of a new project next year.
The rapper/actor made an appearance on The Tamron Hall Show, where he teased the new music for the end of 2023. “We’re definitely gonna get some music before the end of this year,” he revealed. “I would say an album, probably next year.”
Luda then revealed continuous shooting for Fast & Furious is the reason behind the lack of music. “They keep shooting more movies. What am I supposed to do?” he joked.

The show’s host then showed Luda’s recent freestyle on 4/20. “When I was young, I feel like some of my favourite rappers, once they get to a certain point, it’s almost like you wish that they were still kind of hungry and you feel like they don’t have it necessarily like they used to,” he added. “I never wanted to be that. So it’s extremely important for me to prove to people that even though I’m doing all this other stuff, make no mistake, I still got it, and I’m still as hungry as ever.”
Following the interview, the rapper/actor was honoured with the 2,756th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 6426 Hollywood Boulevard. “Ludacris has been a pop culture staple for many years,” stated Ana Martinez, Producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. “As both a rapper and actor, he has created some of our favorite music and film moments and we’re thrilled to welcome him to our historic landmark.”
