Lil Yachty Wants To Create A Joint Album With Tyler, The Creator

In a new interview with Billboard, Lil Yachty shared his wish to make an album with Tyler, The Creator.

Lil Yachty expressed his desire to team up with Tyler, the Creator, and produce an entire album. Following the success of his latest album, Let’s Start Here, Yachty revealed his list of potential collaborators for future projects, which includes Bon Iver, Solange, André 3000, and Tyler. Although Yachty and Tyler have collaborated before, Yachty aims for a more extensive collaboration with the IGOR artist.

“I would love to make a whole album with Tyler. That’d be tight,” he told Billboard. “I just think we could make something really special.”

Lil Yachty gives credit to Tyler, the Creator for inspiring him to create Let’s Start Here. According to Lil Yachty, Tyler was the driving force behind the album, encouraging him to pursue the project with his trademark support and encouragement. Lil Yachty has immense admiration for Tyler, who takes him seriously and has been a consistent supporter of his music.

“He’s like the reason I kinda made this album too. He’s the one who told me, ‘Just do it,'” he revealed. “I have so much respect for him ’cause he takes me serious and he always has.”

In addition to his desire to collaborate with Tyler, the Creator, Lil Yachty also expressed his admiration for Frank Ocean, another former member of the group Odd Future. Although they have spoken before, Lil Yachty hopes to have a more in-depth conversation with Frank Ocean and potentially work together on a project. Lil Yachty’s recent album, Let’s Start Here, released in January, has received widespread acclaim from both fans and critics, finally recognizing the rapper’s talent and contribution to the music industry.

“I was always kind of nervous to put out music, but now I’m on some other sh*t,” Yachty explained. “It was a lot of self-assessing and being very real about not being happy with where I was musically, knowing I’m better than where I am. Because the sh*t I was making did not add up to the sh*t I listened to.” “I just wanted more,” he added. “I want to be remembered. I want to be respected.”
