Lil Wayne crowns Jay-Z as the greatest rapper of all time.
Lil Wayne recently made an appearance on the “More To It” podcast for a conversation with former NFL player Marcellus Wiley. On the show, Weezy was asked about the greatest rapper of all time and told that he cannot name himself.
“Notorious B.I.G, I’m sorry you said of all time? I take that back. The greatest rapper of all time is Shawn ‘Jay-Z’ Carter,” he said, before comparing Hov to Tom Brady.

Hov is always regarded as one of the greats of the name, and the praise for the rapper increased since his recent verse on DJ Khaled’s album “God Did”. Just recently, Joe Budden made an appearance on Complex Bracket, where he also picked Jay-Z over Kendrick Lamar as the best rapper alive.
Last month, Offset also said the same about “The Blueprint” rapper. “I gotta say Hov,” he said on being his GOAT rapper. “All his sh*t is platinum.” “So, you know like, sometimes the success is the reason why people say he’s the greatest of all time… what he did after Rap. Bro, on Rap, you can’t play with him… You can’t play with him since the beginning of time. He always had the biggest records, he always got the biggest people and did the biggest records, and he still come back and make impactful records, right now.”
Wayne also listed the remaining members of his top five at the time, including JAY-Z (“The finest to ever even speak”), Biggie, Goodie Mob, and UGK. Weezy will hold his rescheduled Lil Weezyana Fest in his hometown of New Orleans this weekend. The event, which was postponed from August due to “unforeseen circumstances,” has an all-star roster that includes Rick Ross, Cam’ron, Quavo and Takeoff, Weezy himself, as well as a few surprise performers.
