Latto addresses her beef with Nicki Minaj.
Latto becomes the latest cover star for Billboard, and she also sit down for a new interview, where she talked about many things including her recent beef with Nicki Minaj.
“It’s difficult navigating through situations like that because there’s a disconnect. I will look at myself as a fan of someone and they will view [me] in a whole different light,” Latto said in the interview with Billboard. “It’s disappointing. You just got to take it to the chin and keep pushing.”

The beef erupted in October last year after Minaj’s hit single “Super Freaky Girl” was removed from the rap category for the 65th annual Grammy Awards. Minaj then took to her social media to show her disappointment and also name-dropped Latto for her song “Big Energy. “I have no prob being moved out the RAP category as long as we r ALL being treated FAIRLY,” Minaj tweeted. “If SFG (‘Super Freaky Girl’) has 2B moved out RAP then so does Big Energy! ANY1 who says diff is simply a Nicki hater or a troll.”
“Damn I can’t win for losing… all these awards/noms I can’t even celebrate,” Latto wrote in response to Nicki Minaj.
Following a Twitter feud, Nicki Minaj and rapper Latto exchanged several shots online. Nicki referred to Latto as an “entitled Karen” who has mentioned her name “in over 100 interviews.” In response, Latto stated that she had looked up to Nicki growing up and always showed her admiration but seemed to have a change of heart after the heated exchange. Latto went on to refer to Nicki as a “super freaky grandma” who is married to an accused sexual predator.
