Joe Budden talks about Eminem dissing him on his new album “Kamikaze”.
Eminem’s new album ‘Kamikaze‘ released last week where he takes shots at a lot of rappers including former Shady Records rapper Joe Budden for criticizing Shady’s last year’s album ‘Revival‘. Joe Budden, who was part of the Shady Records’ Rap Group Slaughterhouse, now talks about Eminem dissing him on his new album and he’s not really happy.
Yes, Eminem is “one of the finest rappers in the world,” according to Budden, who is currently “trying to prove to people he can rap.” Budden indicated that he is retired when asked if he will answer with a single, saying: “If anybody wanted Joe to respond to them in a rap, all they had to do was say Joe name two years ago, three years ago, four years ago… Don’t do it now.”
The rapper-turned-broadcaster previously performed as a solo artist and as part of the hip-hop trio Slaughterhouse, which included Royce da 5’9′′, Joell Ortiz, and KXNG Crooked. He hasn’t released any new music since 2016’s ‘Rage & The Machine,’ and declared his retirement from the music industry earlier this year. Budden called Eminem’s song “Untouchable” “crap” and “one of the worst songs [he’d] ever heard” last year. Eminem called out Budden on two tracks in his latest album, ‘Kamikaze,’ which was released last week (August 31).
“Since you’ve been in this megastar cocoon. That’s what happens to the megastars, y’all stay in cocoons. you popped off quick. They sheltered you your whole f**king career. Who was selling records like that? You f**king superstar ni**as been sheltered and bored. Machine Gun Kelly is right. Y’all been slaves to your own superstardom,” Budden began by referencing to MGK and EM’s feud.
Joe Budden released a clip on his twitter where he claims that Eminem hasn’t put out any good content music in over a decade. He says, “Newsflash Em. I heard the album. And because I think you don’t really know all the members that were in the group, I don’t think you know our history. Let me tell you what Joe Budden has thought this entire time. I’ve been better than you this entire f**king decade. Huh? Can’t say that back then. But in my rapper brain, I’m a content ni**a. You gotta say something. You have not said anything for the better part of a whole f**king decade. You have rhymed a bunch of words.”
