Jacob Elordi perfected his American accent with Eminem music.
Actor Jacob Elordi, who is famously known for his roles in Netflix teen films ‘The Kissing Boot‘, and HBO series ‘Euphoria‘, credits Eminem’s music for helping him perfect his American accent.
The Austalia-born actor made an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson show, where the host stated that music helped her too, and asked about how Jacob perfected his American accent.
Elordi stated that listening to “a lot of Eminem, like a terrible amount of Eminem” made him change his American accent from his native Australian accent. “And I still love that man so much… I have to thank him so much for getting rid of [the accent],” he told the host.
Elordi, who plays the role of Nate Jacobs in Euphoria, stated the same in a 2020 interview. “When I was younger and I decided to be an actor and there was not way I come here and not be able to do the accent and I listened to a lots of Eminem. I was like enormous Eminem fan,” said Jacob. “I listen to a lot of Eminem. So originally my accent was like dog, cat and have it there was like really like that it was like really aggressive, and sometimes that still comes through but I’ve made it a little more like Californian universal I suppose.”
