Hailie Jade gets emotional while talking about Eminem’s “Somebody Save Me” video.
Eminem recently released his latest music video for the song called “Somebody Save Me” featuring assistance from Jelly Roll. The song was dedicated to the Detroit rapper’s three daughters and it appeared on his latest album “The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup De Grace).”
The visual was inspired by Eminem’s own visual “Mockingbird”, and features clips of his daughters childhood. “raise your hand if you’ll be crying tomorrow,” wrote Alaina on her Instagram.
Now the rapper’s daughter Hailie Jade also talked about the song during the latest episode of her podcast “Just A Little Shady.” “Speaking of things I watched this past week, which I refused to watch again, is ‘Somebody Save Me’ music video,” she said. “I watch it in entirety and I don’t think I can do it again. I definitely cried.”

She continued, “Between that and ‘Temporary’… I mean, I can’t… I audibly sobed, I think for both songs, but especially ‘Temporary,’ but I will say, watching the video back and listening to the songs, I feel like my parents did such a good job, growing up, where I didn’t realize how bad things were. But now, as an adult, in hindsight, it’s so scary to think about and I think that’s why I get emotional so much—just thinking that this could have happened. And obviously, that’s the point of the song but I will say that if you’ve ever lost an addict or a loved one, I feel for you. It’s a great video. It’s fun to see clips of us when we were younger like that, even ‘Mockingbird.’ But I can’t even listen to that anymore without crying. The older I get the less I can listen to any of these songs. But it is fun to see those clips not in that context.”
