Guapdad4000 Talks Being Influenced By Eminem, Ludacris & More

HipHopDX interviews Guapdad4000.

Guapdad4000 who’s signed to Warner Records sat down with HipHopDX for a new interview where he talks about working on Revenge of the Dreamers 3 sessions in Atlanta with J. Cole and Dreamville, partying with Drake, how Kehlani gave him his rap name, Rona Raps, Pokemon, T-Pain’s autotune inspiration, being famous of the internet before rapping, dealing with depression and much more.

At around the 6:00 minute mark, He also talks about getting influenced by the likes of Immortal Technique, CeeLo Green, Eminem, Ludacris, E-40, and more. HipHopDX asked him about what does he take from his influences, on which Guapdad4000 Says, “Immortal Technique was one of the craziest storytellers, E-40 was always big on vocabulary, big on presence, big on loyalty to the soil, Ludacris and Eminem represents something for me that was the visual inspiration, all their early videos were just ridiculous, Ludacris with big arms, Eminem storming in Awards with a 1000 Eminem clones, that was ridiculous.

Guapdad 4000 had probably told the story of how he defrauded Grammy Award-winning rapper Drake out of $100,000 a million times. Despite Drake’s “finamming,” the two are actually good buddies who met around the time of Scorpion’s debut. Before they even met, the “No Guidance” singer knew who Guapdad 4000 was and had even placed a bet with him for the 2019 NBA Finals.

Drake asked Guap and his folks to his New Year’s Eve bash because they had grown so close. That was Guapdad’s first encounter with J. Cole. After deciding where he and Drake should eat after the club, they eventually agreed on a restaurant where Cole happened to be.
