Drake Calls Lil Wayne Most Supportive Boss After 2009 Interview Clip Surfaces

Drake shows love for Lil Wayne as he reposts a throwback video.

Drake has always shown love for his old boss and longtime collaborator Lil Wayne, and the rapper again shows admiration for Young Money mogul on Instagram. The Toronto rap star reposted a old clip shared by a fan page, in which Lil Wayne was introducing his Young Money Signees in a 2009 interview with MTV, which had Nicki Minaj and Drake.

“We were so lucky to have the most supportive boss in the game always gassed us up,” wrote Drake on his IG story.

Journalist Jayson Rodriguez also shared more context about the clip under the comment section, “This was my interview I did. During MTVu spring break in Panama City beach. I had to do a lot of work to round all of YM together on Wayne’s bus. Got them tho. Then afterward I interviewed Drake 1:1 in the lobby for his first US TV interview. Was quite an era.”

Weezy also always admired the Toronto rap star, and he recently put him in his Top 5 rappers of All Time list. “My Top 5 rappers of all time are JAY-Z, Missy Elliott, Eminem, ummm… The Notorious B.I.G… oh, and this is no specific order right here — and Drizzy,” he said in a recent interview.
