Charlamagne Tha God Praises Eminem For New RIAA Record After The Game's Criticism

The Breakfast Club crew discuss The Game’s criticism after Eminem’s RIAA record.

Eminem recently reached another milestone as he became the top certified singles artist in RIAA history. RIAA has announced 73.5 new certified units for the Detroit Rapper, and he’s now the number 1 singles artist in Gold and Platinum History. The new certifications make it 166 million total career single awards for Eminem. Eminem also received his 6th RIAA diamond through his album “Curtain Call: The Hits”.

In 1958, the Recording Industry Association of America established the Gold and Platinum Awards Program to celebrate artists’ sales achievements. The Gold Record is 500,000 units, the Platinum Record is 1,000,000 units, the Multi-Platinum Record is 2,000,000 plus, and the Diamond Record is 10,000,000 plus.

The rapper received applause from fans and fellow artists, but The Game again snapped at the rapper and suggested that those sales mean nothing.“All this talk I see on the net saying Eminem is better than me because he sold more records is like saying McDonald’s is better than Tam’s burgers, it’s FALSE !!! They just put more money in McDonald’s & promoted the sh*t out the happy meal dangling toys in kids faces,” he said in a tweet. The comments came after Compton’s rapper’s recent interview on “Drink Champs“, where he said that he’s better than Eminem and would beat him in a Verzuz.

Eminem’s new record and The Game response was discussed in the latest episode of The Breakfast Club, and the crew praised the Detroit rapper for the achievement. “Say what you want about him, Eminem could always rap his a*s off, he sells records and he makes good records,” said Charlamagne Tha God. “He’s a good artist. You still gotta deliver. He delivers.”
