Cam’ron & Ma$e unveil their top white rappers.
There’s a floating debate about the Mount Rushmore of white rappers on social media, and now Cam’ron & Ma$e give their favourites for the spot on their It Is What It Is podcast.
“Who’s the guy from Philly that’s signed to Jadakiss [Millyz]? Eminem first, of course. And then you got MGK or Yelawolf. Who you think is better, Killa?,” said Ma$e.
“I’ma go MGK ’cause he’s my man. No disrespect to Yelawolf, I just don’t know a lot of his music,” responds Cam. “I forgot about Jack Harlow. I gotta do my list over. Jack Harlow is definitely up there,” said Ma$e.
Cam’ron continued “Well, Eminem’s definitely number one for me. And then you gotta think about people who pushed the culture forward for white rappers in a time where white rappers really wasn’t being accepted.”
“I’ma go with 3rd Bass as a group… It’s not like they had Eminem lyrics and sh-t, but they had the Black community when it was really hard for a white person to excel in the Black community. People were like, ‘F–k outta here’ when Vanilla Ice came around.”
“My third pick is — God bless the dead — Mac Miller… Jack Harlow’s definitely up there as well but I wouldn’t put him above the three people that I named. I think he’s at the fourth spot, but I think he’s really, really dope.”
