BTS' Suga Reveals Why His Parents Were Okay With Him Buying An Eminem CD

BTS’ group responds to rumors about them, Suga recalls his first Eminem CD.

The members of popular South Korean boy band BTS recently made an appearance on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon where they responded to some of the rumors about them floating on the internet. Jimmy Fallon asked all the BTS members about specific rumors, including an Eminem rumor relating to Suga. The host asked him if it is true that the first album he bought was an Eminem CD and what did his parents think of it.

Jimmy addressed one of the group’s members, Suga’s love for Eminem and whether an Eminem CD was the first album that he ever bought. Turns out Suga was definitely a huge fan of the Detroit legend. The young BTS member replied that he really loved Eminem and since there were no Korean translations at that time, his parents did not mind it.

Suga reacts to the rumor and revealed that he did buy a Detroit Rapper Album but he couldn’t understand because there were no translations. “It was about 15 or 16 years ago and I really loved his music. Translation for the lyrics were not available back then so I really could not understand what the lyrics were about so apparently my parents were okay with it because they could not understand what the lyrics were saying. So they said it was okay about Eminem music,” says Suga.

Jimmy also asked them rumors about what their fan base was almost called, which member sleeps with their eyes open, potential stage names, and much more.

BTS also performed Permission To Dance, their most recent single. The boy band performed in an empty mall. It was adorned with a raft of purple and white balloons suspended from the ceiling. Permission To Dance was released with Butter, BTS’s Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 single.
