Beanie Sigel explains what Ye needs to do to get back on track.
In the past year, Kanye West has been in several controversies, which include his comments on religion, liking for Hitler, anti-semitism remarks, the situation with his ex-wife Kim Kardashian and more. The rapper has been away from the public eye for a while, and there’s no sign of new music from the GOOD Music boss.
Ye’s good friend and former labelmate Beanie Sigel recently made an appearance on VladTv, where he was asked about the Kanye West controversies. “I think when you get to a certain point, they saw money change you, it also changes the people around you, and when you got so many people that’s on your payroll, it’s hard to get honesty from them,” he said. “Kanye needs somebody around him that’s gonna tell him, ‘Shut the f**k up.’ Like, ‘Chill out, bro,’ and he gotta be able to accept that. He needs somebody that don’t care about his money.”
Previously, Kanye revealed that Beanie made up the name Yeezy, and he was trying to give him $50 million but he wouldn’t take it. “I did name him that. But as far as his business mind and where he took it, Kanye worked hard for his. Kanye don’t owe me nothing … I’m not even thinking about a number. But I would love to do some business when I can earn some money, because I’m an earner.” The two eventually reunited during a Sunday Service in late 2021.
