ASAP Rocky wants to hear Kendrick Lamar & JID on a song together.
ASAP Rocky is a fan of Kendrick Lamar and JID, and he wants to see the two spitters on a song together once in his life. While fans are waiting for Rocky’s new album “Don’t Be Dumb”, the rapper is currently on the promo run for his new film “Highest 2 Lowest”, along with director Spike Lee and his co-star Denzel Washington. They sat down for an “epic conversation” with GQ, where they also talked about the rap game.
“You would love JID, man,” said Rocky to Lee and Denzel. “It’s this kid named JID, he just actually put out a new album. He’s signed to J. Cole and Dreamville. He from Atlanta. This kid is nasty. Like, his flow is unmatched. I want to hear him and Kendrick on a song together so bad. I need that before I die. I need to hear JID and Kendrick on a song together.”
ASAP Rocky Again Says His New Album “Don’t Be Dumb” Is “Done”: “I’ma Just Drop It.”
“You f–k with K.Dot?” Rocky asks Denzel, to which he stated his kid loves him, and referred him as a “wordsmith.”
“Ain’t he fire?” Rocky asks. “Man, that’s one of my favorite rappers of all time. And he one of my peers, you know what I’m saying? Ill-a-s wordsmith, especially from my generation. They from the same cloth, him and Kendrick. I think you would love JID. You got to check his sh-t out. He’s ill. It’s not too much people, like, f–king with him lyrically.”
