Lloyd Banks ‘Funkmaster Flex’ Freestyle on Hot 97.
After his visit in 2010, Lloyd Banks returns to Hot 97 for an exclusive interview and to spit a new Funkmaster Flex freestyle. “Left a life-or-death experience, how could you humble that/Mob of preemies can’t be serious, sh*t on your mumble rap” He spits some bars over ‘NY State Of Mind’ Instrumental.
Ayo Flex, look like I’m left off of ‘Bad and Boujee?’ asks Banks to Flex at around the 1:50 mark, making reference to a popular exchange between Joe Budden and the anti-mumble Rap group Migos. To Flex’s amazement, Banks even has a line like, “Old heads hatin’, don’t be a hypocrite” that he simply spits out (perhaps a sign of his self-described “personalities, proliferating”). Naturally, Flex has been quite vocal about his dislike of Mumble Rap.
