Eminem & Kehlani perform ‘Nowhere Fast’ at iHeart Music Awards.
Eminem made an appearance at the iHeart Radio Awards with Kehlani to perform their collaboration called ‘Nowhere Fast‘ which appeared on Detroit rapper’s latest ‘Revival‘ album. The performance featured a new verse from Eminem which was aimed at the NRA.
As he stormed the stage, Eminem was as fervent as ever, spitting a few seemingly impromptu rhymes about the world’s wrongs.” But now we’re on a path headed to nowhere and fast/Another terrorist attacks/Like a tariff, blows half of Madison Square up, alas/We perish in the blast/But that isn’t scaring us, we pass,” Em threw a verse before the crowd. It was an energizing yet sad moment for a night that included some of the music industry’s biggest names. Em deserves kudos for delivering yet again.
Big Sean accompanied Alex Moscou, a survivor of the Parkland, Florida school tragedy that left seventeen people dead, as the duo launched a performance of a tune that wonderfully unpacks the world’s horror. Sean alluded to his mother buying him a copy of The Slim Shady LP in 1999 during their introduction, while Alex used the opportunity to encourage audience members and those watching at home to join the national “March for Our Lives” movement on March 24th, which seeks to overturn the US government’s gun control laws.
Of course, he wasn’t the only rapper that put on a show for the crowd. Cardi B opened the night with an electrifying performance, reaffirming her status as a rising rap artist by performing a live medley of her best singles.
