DJ Khaled drops ‘Father of Asahd: The Album Experience’ documentary.
After giving us 9 new videos and performing on SNL in the past few days, DJ Khaled continues the promo run for his new album ‘Father of Asahd‘ as he drops a new official documentary that accompanies the project and it called ‘Father of Asahd: The Album Experience‘.
The documentary shows behind the scenes look of the recording process, video shoots with the likes of JAY-Z, Travis Scott, SZA, Future, J. Cole, Future and more.
A couple of scenes from the video shows how he struggled with releasing a postmortem project that he made with the late rapper Nipsey Hussle. After working with Nipsey on a video set for ‘Higher’ right before his death, Khaled says he went on a “soul-searching journey” after his terrible passing.
Father of Asahd sold 34,000 units of its new album in its first week, placing it at number two on the US Billboard 200 with 136,000 album-equivalent units. With an extra 58,000 album-equivalent units sold, the album remained at number two on the list in the second week.
