Dr. Dre introduced his teenage protégé to the potential of music production and the construction of a constantly stimulating aural experience that carries over the course of a whole album, which launched Eminem’s career as a rap superstar. The film’s picture of Eminem, the creative behemoth at its core, is particularly insightful.
