BLEU shares the new song “Soul Child” with Lil Wayne.
Following the release of “Life Worth Living” with French Montana last month, Yung Bleu is back with more new material. The Alabama rapper unleashes the song titled “Soul Child” which features assistance from Lil Wayne. The track will appear on his upcoming new album “TANTRA” which will drop this Friday.
“Fake attitude, h*e, actin’ like you don’t drink Henny / Talkin’ ’bout some nights before the tour, what you gon’ do to get it? / Ayy, I prolly got half of your rent, if not, get up in it / Pay me, the hottest in the city, I’m tryna take over the whole f**kin’ world,” he raps.
“Kind of just paying homage to the way Wayne like to record, and Wayne just say a lot of stuff on the beat,” said Bleu in an interview with Zane Lowe. “And then, you usually have to go in there and just make a hook. So, that’s kind of how I approached the song. It was just beautiful that way of just seeing us come together, like two different spectrums of music, and just putting it together to make a hard-a*s track.”
“I’m kind of summing up what’s been going on with my career now,” he added about the upcoming album. “My mindstate, giving people some classic sh*t and just some good songs. Just keep going down that path of giving people beautiful songs. Good songs. Songs that last. So it’s just one of those type of albums where I just take my time with it and just give people songs that’s going last, you know what I’m saying?”
Together with his previously released songs “Love in the Way” with Nicki Minaj and “Life Worth Living” with French Montana, the song is scheduled to be on Bleu’s next album TANTRA. In addition to his songs, Bleu just revealed the opening of his Moon Boy University, a place where artists may gather to advance their own professions while learning the nitty & gritty of the business.
