YG enlist Tyga, 21 Savage & BIA for “Run”.
YG makes his return with some new material as he teams up with Tyga, 21 Savage and BIA for a brand new collaboration “Run”. The track is expected to appear on his next sixth studio album, reportedly titled “Pray For Me”. Earlier this week, YG and TYGA teased the music video where they were donning white chicks’ look, possibly impersonating the Kardashians.
“The music is just gonna be my truth, as far as my life right now,” YG said about his next album in a conversation with Power 106.1. “It’s just the growth of me, my headspace, what I’m on in life. And I think the whole COVID pandemic sh*t, I hated it, but I also look at it as like this sh*t kinda helped me get to where I’m at mentally.”

Additionally, “Run” and “Scared Money” are YG’s first singles after the release of his fifth studio album, My Life 4Hunnid (due out in October 2020). The album debuted at the Top 5 on the Billboard 200 albums, Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, and Top Rap Albums lists and was hailed by the Los Angeles Times as “[YG’s] darkest and most wounded album for Def Jam yet.” It generated five hit songs, including “FTP,” which was released at the height of the Black Lives Matter demonstrations and became the movement’s anthem for social equality.
Earlier this year, YG linked up with J. Cole and Moneybagg Yo on the song called “Scared Money“.
