will.i.am enlist Lil Wayne for new collab “The Formula”.
will.i.am returns with some new material as he teams up with Lil Wayne for a brand new collab “The Formula”. The track arrived ahead of the F1 Grand Prix Race in Miami this Sunday.
“Call me, ‘Weezy F1’ / My car fly like the Jetson’s / You a small fry, need ketchup / Fall behind or you can catch up / You can fall down or you can step up / Been a long time since I messed up / I told Father Time I’m his step-son,” raps Wayne.
In a recent interview with Uproxx, will talked about meeting Wayne for the first time. “All I know is that when I first met Little Wayne, I felt like I’ve known him my whole life because he has that ‘this is my cousin, this is my family member,’ vibe,” he said. “So, I don’t remember the first time. I don’t know if it was in the early 2000s, I just know when I met him, I had the vibe that I’ve known him forever.”

Weezy has been in great feature form for the past couple of years, giving us several epic verses. Just recently, he assisted on Swizz Beatz’s “Hip Hop 50: Vol. 2” on the song “This Sh*t Right Here”. He also provided a guest feature on NLE Choppa’s latest project “Cottonwood 2” on the single “Ain’t Gonna Answer“.
