The Weeknd drops a new song “I’m A Virgin”.
This Monday night, The Weeknd stars in the much-awaited American Dad’s episode titled ‘A Starboy is Born’. He co-wrote and co-starred in Seth MacFarlane’s show. In the episode, he also debuted a new track called “I’m A Virgin” which he hinted in his new interview with Variety.
“When you hear the song you’ll understand that it’s specifically for the show. I always wanted to play a character that was the opposite of the public’s perception of me — and of course, make fun of myself. Once I was given the opportunity I took complete advantage. [Writer-producer] Joel Hurwitz believed in the vision and he helped execute it beautifully.” said The Weeknd to Variety.
The animated sitcom’s episode wouldn’t be complete without the R&B singer screaming out an original song, and the gut-busting melody reveals the cartoon version of the crooner’s biggest secret: he’s a virgin. After Jeff tries to lure him into sleeping with Hayley, The Weeknd opens up about the reality behind his playboy reputation in “I’m a Virgin,” which he co-wrote with Electric Guest’s Asa Taccone.
