J. Cole drops the video for “a m a r i”.
J. Cole continues releasing new material as the Dreamville boss has dropped the official video for his song called “a m a r i“. The track is one of the fan-favorite from his latest album “The Off-Season” which is expected to debut at #1 on Billboard 200.
It is the first music video from the new album. Jermaine recently appeared on the LA Leakers show for the first for an incredible freestyle session.
The footage bounces between a number of various locales, some paying respect to his traditional hip-hop roots and others harkening back to sentimental events from his past, starting with a wide picture of a Dreamville chopper soaring in the foreground of New York City’s cityscape. Cole wears a polished suit next to a plethora of handsome guys in comparable ensembles in one scene and pilots the aforementioned chopper with a remote from a rooftop in another. Cole also raps in front of a blazing fire in another scenario before visiting his old college dorm room, which is now plastered in platinum albums. The screen jumps to a final paragraph at the end of the film, which reads, “Hold on to your inner kid.”
The Off-Season is expected to generate between 280,000 and 310,000 total activities, with record sales ranging between 35,000 and 40,000. The Off-Season will officially claim the record for the highest opening week of 2021 if it surpasses 291,000 in total activity, which is now held by Taylor Swift’s updated edition of Fearless.
