Vince Staples drops a new song “Law of Averages”.
Apart from some collaborations, Vince Staples hasn’t released new solo material for the past couple of years but it changes today. Vince Staples makes his return with a new single called “Law of Averages“. The Compton rapper has also dropped the official video for the song.
“Fuc a bi*ch, I don’t trust no bi*ch with my government
Fuc a friend, I don’t want no friends with no open hands
Count my bands, all alone at home don’t you call my phone
Everyone that i’ve ever known asked me for a loan
Leave me ‘lone .44 Stallone, get a ni**a a gone
Raging bull, this not Paid In Full but I kill my own
Yes I love you cause you blacc, but don’t love yo a** like
that I will put you on a shirt if you fucc me out my racs,” he raps in the first verse.
The video for “Law of Averages” was made in collaboration with Kid. Studio and features Staples in a fantasy version of his hometown. A cinematic yet honest performance video is included with the song. Vince’s background and youth are explored in greater depth than ever before on this upcoming 10-track album, exposing a new aspect to his work.
It depicts a period in his life when he was learning to deal with his problems while maintaining his eyes on the road ahead and helping to mould those around him. It would seem weird to have a self-titled album as the sixth record in a long career, but it’s not.
