Tyler, The Creator drops a new song “Lumberjack”.
Tyler, The Creator returns to the music scene as he releases a brand new track called “Lumberjack“. The song comes along with an official video which is directed by Wolf Haley.
Recently, Tyler teased some new material through a unique strategy as he made available a phone number through a billboard on Sunset Boulevard in LA in which you could hear Tyler the Creator and his mom talking in the car.
Tyler will perform at a handful of festivals later this year. The recently announced 2021 edition of Day N Vegas Festival, where he’ll be joined on the roster by Kendrick Lamar and others, is one of them.
Tyler’s second single of the year is “Lumberjack,” which follows “Tell Me How,” which was released in March but initially debuted in a Coca-Cola ad a month previously. In the interim, he worked with Westside Gunn, Freddie Gibbs and the Alchemist, Lil Yachty, and Brent Faiyaz, but “Tell Me How” was his first full solo release since 2019.
Tyler’s fifth album, IGOR, was released in 2019 and was nominated for a Grammy. Tyler has maintained an every-two-years approach to initiating new eras since Goblin in 2011, so it’s reasonable to say—and more obvious—that 2021 will follow suit.
