Tyga drops a new song “Mrs. Bubblegum”.
After giving us “Splash” with Moneybagg Yo last month, Tyga returns with some more new material as he releases a new single called “Mrs. Bubblegum“. The new single comes along with an official video that features a cameo from D4L’s Fabo. And as usual, the music video features a lot of B**ties.
“I’m a cold-a** rapper, I get hotter by the day
And she know I hit it first but I ain’t Ray J
Lock her with the blindfold but I don’t go on blind dates
It’s me motherf**ker, the one ni**as love to hate,” he raps.
Throughout the song, everything is converted into rear ends, which makes for a funny picture. Given the song’s use of D4L’s “Laffy Taffy,” it’s only fitting that Fabo, the Atlanta collective’s leader, makes a cameo appearance.
A synth beat in the style of the original “Laffy Taffy” record is followed by finger snaps in “Mrs. Bubblegum.” “One, two, check three b*tches on deck – four, five diamond chains hangin’ round my neck,” Tyga raps as he arrives. The pace speeds up leading to the chorus as Tyga sings, “shake that a** for me” in repeat, mimicking the words “shake that laffy taffy” from the original with “nasty girl” instead of “candy girl,” giving respect to the original record’s inspiration. “I rock, I roll. I wanna dadada, oh, cause you so thick.”
