The Weeknd unleashes new song “Nothing Is Lost”.
After announcing it earlier this month, The Weeknd has released his brand new song titled “Nothing Is Lost”. The track is produced by Swedish House Mafia & Simon Franglen, and it appears on the soundtrack to the upcoming science fiction film “Avatar: The Way Of Water”, a sequel to the blockbuster 2009 movie.
“Been living this life so patient / Until I see you again, it’s war we’re facin’ / I know that if I die my only choice is still defending / No matter what they say / My love for you is greater than their powers and their armies from above,” he sings.
Jon Landau, who produced The Way of Water, claimed that the song started to take shape over the summertime after he encountered the Weeknd on his global tour. “When he came in, Swedish House Mafia came up with the concept of the song, and they embraced working with our composer, Simon Franglen. And together, they came up with a song that is true to who The Weeknd is but is organic to our film,” “And that’s what was important to us. We didn’t want just something to come on at the end of the movie that felt outside of it, but he embraced that collaboration, and his voice, oh my God.”
