The Weeknd enlist Summer Walker for “Best Friend” Remix.
Following the release of the “How Do I Make You Love Me?” video, The Weeknd continues putting out new material as he shares a remix of his song “Best Friend”. The new version features assistance from Summer Walker. “she f**king CRUSHED it,” he tweeted about Walker, “she carried.”
The original version is off Weeknd’s fifth studio album “Dawn FM” which was dropped earlier this year. The project debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 with 148,000 equivalent album units in its first week earlier this year. The project featured guest appearances from Tyler, the Creator, Lil Wayne, Quincy Jones, Oneohtrix Point Never, and Jim Carrey.
The Weeknd and Walker collaborated on the “Best Friend” remix for the first time. It’s the third Dawn FM song to get the remixed treatment in previous weeks, after Sebastian Ingrosso and Salvatore Ganacci’s version of “How Do I Make You Love Me?” “Out of Time” by Kaytranada, “Starry Eyes” by Mike Dean, and “Dawn FM” by Oneohtrix Point Never.
