Isaiah Rashad drops a new song “Lay Wit Ya”.
Recently, TDE announced that something new is coming soon and a lot of people started speculating new music releases from Kendrick Lamar, but now it turned out to be the return of Isaiah Rashad. Isaiah Rashad makes his return to the music scene with a new single called “Lay Wit Ya” which features assistance from Duke Deuce. The song which comes along with an official video will appear on his upcoming album “The House is Burning“.
The Chattanooga native takes on an instrumental influenced by Three 6 Mafia’s “Ridin’ in the Chevy” on the track. The Triple 6 crunk-influenced rhythm fit Duke Deuce like a glove because he’s from Memphis.
He recently sat down with Fader and talked about the struggles he faced since the release of his last album “The Sun’s Tirade” in 2016. “I was really disgruntled,” says Isaiah. “Instead of just explaining myself, I just assumed that ni**as knew. Or I would just be drunk spazzing. And nobody hears that. They just hear that you’re drunk. You know they called me Bobby Brown? That sh*t hurt the f**k out of my feelings. That’s the worst type of vibe ever.”
The House Is Burning, Isaiah’s second full-length album and the follow-up to 2016’s The Sun’s Tirade, will be released next month. “This album was difficult,” he said. “I love music, but I don’t like to say sh*t. It’s almost like a game for me. It’s like working out. I don’t want to be redundant. Redundancy in general bothers me. Any song that I make, I usually make it in about 30 minutes to an hour, and that’s it. My ideas come to me immediately.”
