SZA shares the “Kill Bill” remix with Doja Cat.
SZA continues to push her hit single “Kill Bill” as she dropped an official remix with assistance from Doja Cat. The track is produced by Carter Lang & Rob Bisel, and the original version earned SZA her first-ever Billboard Hot 100 #1 single. The original track appeared on SZA’s record-breaking second studio album “SOS“.
This is SZA and Doja Cat’s second collab, following “Kiss Me More”, which earned them their first Grammy award last year.
“I’m in a funk, so I bought a bouquet of roses / And cut ’em up at your doorstep, your new neighborhood is gorgeous / I paid a lot of money for the fragrances you wore when we were dating / And I sold some lemonade just to afford them,” raps Doja.
Following Doja Cat’s recent announcement that she is shifting away from pop music, the artist has teased new rap-based music on the horizon. This comes in the wake of the release of a new remix for her hit single, “Streets.”
“No more pop,” she tweeted, expounding on her current tastes as an artist in another reply to a fan: “Pop isn’t exciting to me anymore. I don’t wanna make it.”
