Summer Walker releases an extended version of “No Love” with SZA and Cardi B.
Summer Walker is back with some new material as she enlists hitmaker Cardi B for the extended version of her song “No Love”. The track already featured SZA, and it was one of the fan-favourite off Walker’s last year’s “Still Over It” album. The sensual track comes along with an accompanying music video.
“I just wanna be everything you need / I wish you could see how you hurting me / I got no more love, this time, I’m done with that / I’m thinkin’ of ways that I can hurt you back,” raps Cardi.
The album originally featured Lil Durk, Ari Lennox, Pharrell, Omarion and more, and becomes Walker’s first #1 album on Billboard 200 with 166,000 album-equivalent units.
Summer and the “Up” rapper start the video in an opulent pink and white bed, dressed in nothing but skimpy dresses and white pearls. Cardi croons the opening of her verse in a way that will surprise fans as she starts off the song. The video eventually progresses to Bardi and Walker singing the song in a field of flowers. SZA joins in the fun by singing her line while seated on what seems to be a white dolphin sculpture. Summer signs out the video with a passionate dance sequence while practically standing on top of the earth.
Summer Walker and SZA’s original rendition of “No Love” can be found on Walker’s second studio album, Still Over it, which was released in November 2021. In addition to becoming the first female-produced R&B album to top the Billboard 200 charts since 2016, the album broke a record for the most one-week streaming by an R&B artist.
The sensual collaboration follows the announcement earlier this week by all three songstresses of the longer version. Cardi B admitted shortly after the announcement that she was first hesitant to get on the song because she didn’t know what to do with it. She was also concerned about how she would sound on the track.
