Skylar Grey Rocks Eminem’s Air Jordan 4 in her new video.
Skylar Grey continues releasing new material as she drops the final song of her worldwide release tour. The track is titled ‘Make It Through The Day‘ which comes with the official video. In the music video where she plays german pianist Ludwig Van Beethoven and she also wears the Eminem x Carhartt x Air Jordan 4’s on this special occasion.
On social media, Skylar Grey discussed a cover of the EP and the title track.“Just want to clear the air here: It was a big shock to me when people started saying that I copied @sferaebbasta’s Famoso artwork… I’ve never heard of him, let alone seen the artwork people are referring to. But now seeing it, I cannot deny the fact that they are spookily similar with the gold frame and the red graffiti-style writing. To me this is just evidence of some kind of universal consciousness. If I had copied it, I would tell you… just like when I openly paid tribute to Travis Scott earlier this year in a set of photographs. In truth, my inspiration for this cover was Beethoven. I wanted to do a modern take on him, and a modern take on an old oil painting from his era, as the song itself is a modern take on classical music. I’ve had this concept for months, and the photo shoot for this cover happened on Sept 11th, 2020 then we re-shot it on Sept 17th because I didn’t like my hair in the photos lol. (I just checked my archives). According to @sferaebbasta’s Instagram page he revealed his cover on Oct 13th. So there’s no explanation other than, we both had the same idea at around the same time. It happens. I’m glad this happened though because it led to me discovering @sferaebbasta who seems like a super dope artist! 🖤”
I know what you’re thinking… is Beethoven wearing the Eminem x Carhartt x Air Jordan 4’s? Yes he is… because it’s a special occasion. Today is the grand finale of my worldwide release tour! The final song “Make It Through The Day” is out now!https://t.co/rqblwEsjLS pic.twitter.com/mATQRfmrZC
