Skylar Grey drops ‘Kill For You’ with Eminem.
Later tonight, Skylar Grey going to releases her 3rd Studio Album which Titled as ‘Natural Causes‘ Via Interscope Records. The Album is packed with 13 tracks and only 1 feature came up from Eminem on a track named ‘Kill For You‘.
The gloomy tune, which was also produced by the rapper, is heavily influenced by the notorious criminal duo Bonnie and Clyde. It’s a frequent topic in Eminem‘s songs, particularly on his 1999 album “’97 Bonnie & Clyde.” Grey promises to “kill for you,” whilst Eminem is the deceitful, brainwashing half of the combo. The rapper rhymes, “You always ride/Whatever the plan is/’Til the end/Even if I lead us into an ambush.”
In an exclusive interview with HipHopDX, Skylar Grey says that Eminem told him to keep rapping. “The first time I wrote a rap was actually a song called ‘Lemonade.’ The rap version of the song isn’t coming out but the early version of it was my first real attempt at rap and of course I didn’t know if it was any good,” Skylar said. “I sent [the verse] to the one person I knew [I could] get great advice from – I sent it to Eminem, – and I was like ‘Tell me if I should ever rap again.’ And he actually called me and said that I should keep going and keep trying cause he didn’t hate it. So he kinda gave me a little confidence and a little boost to keep trying and keep going for it.”
