Russ Releases Two New Songs, A Soft Rock Fire And Fall For You (Cover)

Russ shares two new offerings “Fire” and “Fall For You” cover.

Following the release of last week’s alternate ending version of “Nasty“, Russ is back with more new freebies. As announced previously, the Atlanta rapper Russ dropped a new soft rock song titled “Fire”, and also released a track “Fall For You” cover.

“The best thing ’bout tonight’s that we’re not fighting / Could it be that we have been this way before? / I know you don’t think that I am trying / I know you’re wearing thin down to the core,” he raps on Fall For You.

The rapper is now prepping the release of a new project “CHOMP 2.5”, and will be dropping a new full-length album in the summer.

Russ released his “Chomp 2” album back in 2021, which was a star-studded effort, featuring appearances from Papoose, The Game, Westside Gunn, Styles P, Jadakiss, Snoop Dogg, DJ Premier, Big KRIT, Jay Electronica, Big Sean, Wale, Joey Badass, Conway The Machine, Ghostface Killah and more.

“I do understand, though, that when you come into the game, especially when you come into the Black space as a white person with opinions that no one asks for, it’s not going to be met very well,” he said in an interview with Uproxx about being a white man in hip-hop. “At the end of the day, I never said anything that was destructive towards the culture. Everything I said was an attempt to move it forward on a positive level. If I’m talking about ownership or if I’m talking about touring or… It’s like everything I would say was always like, ‘oh, this would actually help everyone.’ It’s not like I was pushing something negative. I wasn’t moving around out here with a negative agenda. My agenda was positive. It was just that my approach was very like, ‘y’all got to f**king listen to what I’m saying, what the f**k is wrong with y’all.’ Obviously, that’s not going to come across great, but I don’t regret any of that at all, because I was 23, 24. If I didn’t do that, I wouldn’t be the person who I am now.”
