Russ drops a new song “Fate”.
Russ continues his weekly drops as he releases a brand new single called “Fate“. The track is the follow-up to Atlanta rapper’s last week’s song called “Lake Como“. The new song is produced by DillyGotItBumpin.
“In the belly of the beast, I’m in a telly on the East
Coutin’ up another million, you can’t tell me I don’t eat
So what’s the reservation? Dawg, you just got rich
I need flowers like I just got sick,” Russ raps in the first verse.
The new song comes after his recent “Satisfy,” and “Rather Be Myself.” Russ released his third studio album, SHAKE THE SNOW GLOBE, in 2020, his last for Columbia Records. SHAKE THE SNOW GLOBE featured Rick Ross, Bugus, Ty Dolla $ign, WESTSIDE BOOGIE, Kiana Ledé, Benny The Butcher, Devin The Dude, and Bia on 21 tracks, including the deluxe edition.
With 63,000 album-equivalent units sold in its first week, the project was a top-five hit, peaking at number four on the Billboard 200. Russ then released the five-track EP CHOMP later that year, his first formal effort since reclaiming his freedom. There were guest verses from Ab-Soul, DJ Premier, Black Thought, Busta Rhymes, and many more on that brief production.
