Rod Wave shares a new music video “Checkmate”.
Rod Wave continues putting out new material as he now drops another new song titled “Checkmate”. The track is produced by BeatsByTrain, camm & FRAXILLE, and it also arrived with an official music video.
“Okay lost in my feelings, running out of love / Sometimes I get in my feelings with codeine in my blood / Most times I be tripping reminiscing about us / Why’d I gotta stand on business, ten toes no matter what,” he raps.
This follows up his previous offering “Come See Me“, and it will appear on his new album “Nostalgia” which is scheduled to be released on September 15th. The new album Nostalgia is released with a pack of 18 tracks, including a guest appearance from 21 Savage on the song “Turks & Caicos”.
Rod Wave’s previous project “Beautiful Mind” was released in August 2022 through Alamo Records. The project featured guest appearances from Jack Harlow and December Joy. It includes tracks such as “Alone,” “Yungen” featuring Jack Harlow, “Never Get Over Me,” “Stone Rolling,” “I Know It,” “Forever,” “No Deal,” and “Quiet Storm” featuring December Joy. “Beautiful Mind” debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart with moving over 115,000 album-equivalent units in its first week.
