Remy Ma drops a new song “GodMother”.
After appearing on Fat Joe and Ja Rue’s VERZUZ Battle, Remy Ma makes her musical return as she releases a new song called “GodMother“. The Castle Hill legend was one of the highlights of last night’s event where she joined Fat Joe for “All The Way Up” and “Twinz (Deep Cover 98)”.
Remy Ma also comes in support of Fat Joe, who has been getting flak on social media for calling Lil Mo and Vita “Dusty B**ches” during the battle. “Lil Mo, stop it, you know damn well Joe, ain’t on it like that,” she said. “First of all…you, V, Shanti- or nobody had came out yet. When he and Ja was going back and fourth, we didn’t know who was in the back. Second, I was in the car when you walked through the parking lot and he hugged you, showed you mad love as usual. No need for your followers to tell him anything, as someone that personally knows you, you can call my phone. It was a battle between friends That’s like family, sidebar, street code, don’t do social media.”
Since her release from prison in 2014, the world has been waiting for Remy Ma to release a new solo album; her debut, “There’s Something About Remy: Based on a True Story,” was released 15 years ago. With that stated, she has been feeding her fans since 2017’s “Plata O Plomo”, which she co-wrote with her aforementioned Terror Squad collaborator. Kat Dahlia, Kent Jones, Sevyn Streeter, BJ The Chicago Kid, The-Dream, Ty Dolla $ign, Stephanie Mills, and others contribute to Joe and Remy’s well-received collaborative effort, in addition to French Montana’s “All The Way Up” assist.
