Quavo shares new song “Without You” in memory of Takeoff.
It’s been two months since the death of Migos rapper Takeoff, who was shot and killed in Houston. Takeoff’s uncle and group mate Quavo who just made his first appearance at Diddy’s New Year bash since Take’s Funeral, now decided to pay homage to the late rapper with a new song “Without You”.
“Out in the galaxy, up in the stars / Over the universe, it’s bigger than Mars / See you in heaven, see you heaven / When I see you in heaven, I’ma be with my dog,” he sings. “Tears rolling down my eyes / Can’t tell you how many times I cried / Days ain’t the same without you.”
He wrote on Instagram: “It’s so hard to tell you Ima miss you because you [were] always with me and we did everything together. Thought we were gonna be pro wrestlers. Nothing ever really bothered Take and he didn’t bother anybody. He the most unbothered person in the world. He never go mad, he never raised his voice, and when he did, he silenced the room because what Take said was law and he wasn’t changing his mind.”
Quavo previously shared a lengthy message in memory of Takeoff after attending the memorial service in early November. “He never worried about titles, credit or what man got the most shine, that wasn’t him. He didn’t care about none of that as long we brought it back home to the family!” “I’m proud to say I’ve seen your blessings, I’ve seen you bless me, you blessed mama, you blessed Shara, you blessed Treet, Heaven and Zeke. You will continue to send your blessings down from Heaven and I will continue to keep your name alive as long as I live.”
