Ty Dolla Sign drops ‘Purple Emoji’ featuring J. Cole.
Ty Dolla Sign returns to the music scene with some new material as he teams up with J. Cole for a brand new single called ‘Purple Emoji‘. The track which was announced last week is produced by MXXWLL.
Ty$ said the song came about on a New York City studio trip in an Instagram post, and he spoke further on Monday’s Apple Music broadcast with Zane Lowe (May 20). “I was at this studio called Jungle City in New York working on Yandhi with Kanye [West],” he recalled. “I just took over the top room I had a whole separate room he had the bottom floors. And then just turns out Cole was in the room right next to me. When I saw him I was like bro I got something to play you and he’s like I got something to play to you so I went to his studio and heard everything he was working and then I’m like, ‘yo I just did this one I thought would be crazy for both of us, so he came in my room I played it for him immediately and he did his verse in five minutes.”
