Lil Nas X drops a new song “Industry Baby” with Jack Harlow.
Lil Nas X is back with a new single as he teams up with hitmaker Jack Harlow for the song called “Industry Baby“. The song which is produced by Kanye West, Take A Daytrip and Nick Lee, comes along with an official video. In the visual, Lil Nas Flexes his Grammy trophy, RIAA Certifications, while being behind the bars. The video also features a fully nu*e scene of Nas X dancing with fellow inmates before plotting a “The Shawshank Redemption” style escape. Jack Harlow the fellow inmate, gets intimate with a female prison guard.
The song premiered on the Billboard Hot 100 at number two for the first week before becoming Lil Nas X’s third and Harlow’s first number-one hit in the last week of October. During the outro, a brief verse by Lil Nas X is included in the extended version that was published on October 9, 2021. At the 64th Annual Grammy Awards, the song was nominated for Best Melodic Rap Performance.
Lil Nas X earlier previewed the track with a video of him “on trial,” a parody of the ongoing legal saga over his Satan sneakers. Both “Industry Baby” and his previous two songs, “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” and “Sun Goes Down,” will be on Lil Nas’ impending debut album Montero, however, a release date and full tracklist have yet to be announced.
The rapper is sentenced to five years at Montero State Jail in the Christian Breslauer-directed video penned by Lil Nas X, but he makes the best of his time there by working out and dancing in the shower and in the prison yard. Harlow contributes a poem and a pickax to an escape plot by putting one into a book.
Lil Nas X announced his partnership with The Bail Project, a nationwide nonprofit group dedicated to ending cash bail, along with the release of the video. “It’s a personal matter.” In a statement, he added, “I understand the anguish that jail causes a family.” “And I’m well aware of the disproportionate impact of cash bail on African-Americans and LGBTQ people. Bring the refugees home and struggle for freedom and equality.”
Is Jack Harlow in love with Lul Nas X? Well, it’s a brother’s love for another mother. Anyone who disparages Lil Nas X will not be tolerated by Jack Harlow. During the 2022 Grammy Awards, the “WHATS POPPIN” singer demonstrated this. In an interview with ELaverne !’s Cox, Jack indicated that he had a message for individuals who are offended by LGBTQ+ people performing hip hop music. “Wake the f–k up,” he exclusively said on Live From E!: Grammys. “What the f–k’s wrong with you? It’s ridiculous.”
The single follow-up Lil Nas X’s song called “Sun Goes Down” which dropped in May.
