The Weeknd drops “Blinding Lights” remix.
It’s been a year since The Weeknd released his hit single “Blinding Lights“, and to celebrate the anniversary he decided to drop the official remix which features Spanish singer Rosalía.
The song, which was written by The Weeknd, Max Martin (the most successful songwriter-producer of the last 25 years), and Oscar Holter, and produced by the trio alongside Jason “DaHeala” Quenneville and Ahmad “Belly” Balshe, has amassed a staggering 4.5 billion global streams. It’s Spotify’s most-streamed song of the year and the ninth most-streamed song of all time (although it’s only been out for a year).
The Weeknd recently called out The Academy/Grammys for snubbing him for their 63rd annual event even after having a great year, and he also got support from a lot of artists including Drake.
