REASON drops “Extinct” extended version.
REASON continues releasing new material as the TDE rapper enlists Westside Boogie, Denzel Curry, Jack Harlow, and Joey Badass for the extended version of his song called “Extinct“. The original version featured JID and Isaiah Rashad, which appeared on REASON’s latest ‘New Beginnings‘ Album. He also pays tribute to legendary MF DOOM while sharing the song.
In light of MF DOOM’s death, the song “Extinct” takes on a new meaning. The song includes a sample from his song “Pennyroyal,” which DOOM created under the moniker Metal Fingers. Joey’s inclusion on this longer version is nearly coincidental, as he sampled the same music for “Pennyroyal” on his 1999 mixtape.
