Maroon 5 drops a new song “Beautiful Mistakes”.
Maroon 5 returns to the music scene as the LA pop-rock band teams up with hitmaker Megan Thee Stallion for their new single called “Beautiful Mistakes” which was announced last month. The track which is produced by Adam Goldstein and blackbear, also has a music video coming out soon.
“She’s so talented. She is a superstar,” Adam Levine told Apple Music’s Zane Lowe. “But really in the truest sense, she’s all class, and just we had the best time shooting the video, and it was just a lot of fun. I was cracking jokes the whole time, making her laugh.”
Maroon 5’s new single “Beautiful Mistakes” follows their 2020 hit “Nobody’s Love” and their 2019 track “Memories.” Red Pill Blues, the band’s most recent full-length album, was released in 2017.
Levine also spoke on the all-star rappers with whom Maroon 5 has previously collaborated, including Wiz Khalifa (“Payphone”), Kendrick Lamar (“Don’t Wanna Know”), and Cardi B (“Girls Like You”). With “Girls Like You,” Cardi and the crew made chart history, spending seven weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and a whopping 40 weeks in the top 20 of the all-genre chart. It also set records for the longest-running No. 1 song on Billboard’s Radio Songs chart (nine weeks) and the longest-running No. 1 song by a group on Billboard’s Adult Contemporary radio airplay chart (nine weeks).
Megan Thee Stallion, on the other hand, released her real debut album, Good News, last November and has had a busy start to 2021. The rapper just released a new song called “Southside Forever Freestyle,” as well as remixing Ariana Grande’s “34+35” with Doja Cat and collaborating with Bobby Sessions on the Coming 2 America soundtrack’s “I’m a King.” This year, Meg is nominated for four Grammy Awards, including Best New Artist.
