Lupe Fiasco drops new song ‘Left To Right’.
After giving us his latest album ‘Drogas Wave‘ less than two weeks ago, Lupe Fiasco continues releasing new material as he drops a new freestyle type of song. He flips Lil Wayne and Kendrick Lamar’s recent collaboration ‘Mona Lisa‘ from Tha Carter V to make his own ‘Left To Right‘.
“I had a couple hrs 2 kill so I wanted to practice. I liked Wayne & Kdots Mona Lisa so i wanted to flip it but use a different painting so I took davincis the last supper & put a story to it that reads left to right. If u listen to the song while looking at the painting you’ll see,” he tweeted upon dropping the record. “Ni**as gather round, we about to feast / Boy, get your hands off the table, you can have a seat,” Lupe Fiasco raps. “Blood won’t you talk to your homie, think he in on it? / Hold up, I got nothing to do with it, I put 10 on it / Yea, playboy got the shank, he gon poke him up, ay / Don’t be talkin’ behind my back, say that to both of us.”
Lupe’s DROGAS: WAVE entered at No. 60 on the Billboard 200 albums list this week. The album includes a sequel to the fan-favorite “Hip-Hop Saved My Life,” as well as a complex premise. According to Lupe, the record is about a tribe of Africans who were thrown off slave ships and survived by living beneath the sea.
