Lloyd Banks drops “Sugar Hill” freestyle.
After giving us the ‘Mighty Healthy‘ freestyle a few days ago, Lloyd Banks returns with the 6th freestyle of his new freestyle series. It is over AZ’s ‘Sugar Hill‘.
If you haven’t heard yet, Lloyd Banks has been releasing a new song every week to promote his 10-part freestyle series “At Your Request,” in which the G-Unit rapper raps over other popular instrumentals. After recently freestyling over Fab & Jadakiss’ “Soul Food” and Ghostface’s “Mighty Healthy,” the Maryland native returns today to deliver another freestyle over NYC spitter AZ’s 1995 classic “Sugar Hill.”
Lloyd offers another 2-minute lyrically-conscious workout that finds him honing his abilities and demonstrating his double-time rhyme scheme over Miss Jones’ soulful vocals and L.E.S.’ 90s boom-bap production. It’s Lloyd’s sixth release in a series of ten, so stay tuned for more.
